NCC unit was started in 2010 at KIET Group. At present there are 100 cadets (50 Boys & 50 Girls) enrolled for Army Wing & 50 cadets (25 Boys & 25Girls) enrolled for Air Force.

Placement cell of KIET engages in constant interaction with the industry by way of seminars, summer internships, research projects, and on-campus and off-campus initiatives.
The fully automated Central Library, established in 2001, is a focal knowledge constituent in the institute’s march towards achieving its vision. Housed in an acoustically designed ambience of 15,000 sqft, it contains more than 25,000 volumes of books and 160 National and International journals and is also connected to Web OPAC, which is an online cataloging system for the library.
Established in the year 2001, KIET Group’s primary focus has always been on developing the Entrepreneurial spirit amongst the students. KIET Group’s spectacular growth can be attributed to the marvelous support and patronage extended by the students, parents, faculty, staff, advisors, mentors and other stakeholders of KIET Group. With a clear focus on women empowerment in technical education, Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (KIET-W) was started in the same 100 acres campus. With a view to cater to the educational needs of more number of students, a new institution Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology II (KIET-II) was started.
